Leadership development through outdoor adventure
For the first time in the 100+ year history of the Boy Scouts of America (now "Scouting America"), young women now have the opportunity to join the iconic program and earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Founded in 2019, Troop 301 is the first Scouting BSA troop to serve young women in our community. We bring leadership development through outdoor activities in addition to the many other fantastic skills gained through the scouting program. Our Troop is Scout-led; the Scout leaders in the Troop (Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leaders, and others) plan and execute the Troop's events and weekly meetings.
Importantly, our Troop offers young girls in our community ADVENTURE! Backpacking, canoe camping, rock climbing, and even ice climbing, are among the many adventures young women can choose to experience in Troop 301.
Interested? Come and TRY IT OUT!
We welcome new scouts to any of our meetings which are most Thursdays (be sure to check the Calendar first!). We currently meet on Thursday evenings from 6:15 pm to 8:00 pm in the local community (contact us for location of our meeting).
